Dinosauři

Dinosauři byli skupinou obřích plazů, kteří žili na Zemi během geologického období nazývaného

mezozoikum. Mezozoikum se dělí do tří hlavních částí: trias, jury a křída. Dinosauři se objevili přibližně

před 230 miliony let na konci triasu a vymírali před asi 65 miliony let na konci křídy. Toto období

vymírání je známo jako K-T (křída-terciér) hranice, a bylo spojováno s masivním úhynem mnoha

druhů, včetně většiny dinosauřích skupin. Dinosauři byli rozmanitou skupinou, která zahrnovala obří

býložravce i masožravce. Existovaly dvě hlavní skupiny - teropodi (masožravci) a ornitopodi, sauro-

podomorpha a sauropodomorpha (býložravci). Dinosauři představují jednu z nejvýraznějších kapitol v

evoluční historii planety Země. Jedna z našich soch je inspirována postavou dinosaura Arlo z pohádky

Hodný dinosaurus, který reprezentuje druh Apatosaura. Jedná se o animovaný film od společnosti

Pixar, který byl vydán v roce 2015. Příběh se odehrává v alternativním světě, kde asteroid minul Zemi

a dinosauři nikdy nevyhynuli. Hlavní hrdina Arlo se v pohádce vydává na dobrodružnou cestu domů

po tom, co ztratil svou rodinu. Dále u nás v galerii můžete vidět druh Triceratopse. Triceratops byl

jedním z nejznámějších a nejvýraznějších dinosauřích býložravců. Tento dinosaurus žil v období

pozdní křídy, před asi 68 až 66 miliony lety, na území dnešní Severní Ameriky. Často je popisován svou

charakteristickou trojrohovou lebkou a rohy nad očima a na nose. Byl relativně velký dinosaurus, s

délkou těla kolem 7 až 9 metrů a váhou přibližně 6 tun. Triceratops byl rohatý dinosaurus, ale se

vznikem nových paleontologických výzkumů se objevují názory, že rohy mohly mít spíše funkci při

rituálním souboji mezi jednotlivci než při obraně před predátory. Tento druh byl zřejmě býložravý a

mohl se živit nižší vegetací, jako jsou kapradiny a nízké rostliny.

Dinosaurs

Dinosaurs were a group of giant reptiles that lived on Earth during a geological period called the

Mesozoic Era. The Mesozoic Era is divided into three main parts: the Triassic, the Jurassic and the

Cretaceous. Dinosaurs appeared about 230 million years ago at the end of the Triassic and died out

about 65 million years ago at the end of the Cretaceous. This period of extinction is known as the K-T

(Cretaceous-Tertiary) boundary, and has been associated with massive die-offs of many species,

including most dinosaur groups. Dinosaurs were a diverse group that included giant herbivores and

carnivores. There were two main groups - theropods (carnivores) and ornithopods, sauro-

podomorpha and sauropodomorpha (herbivores). Dinosaurs represent one of the most remarkable

chapters in the evolutionary history of planet Earth. One of our sculptures is inspired by the dinosaur

Arlo from the fairy tale The Good Dinosaur, who represents the species Apatosaurus. It is an

animated film from Pixar that was released in 2015. The story takes place in an alternate world where

an asteroid missed Earth and dinosaurs never became extinct. In the tale, the main character Arlo

embarks on an adventurous journey home after losing his family. You can also see Triceratopse

species in our gallery. Triceratops was one of the most famous and distinctive dinosaur herbivores.

This dinosaur lived during the Late Cretaceous period, about 68 to 66 million years ago, in what is

now North America. It is often described by its distinctive tri-cornered skull and horns above its eyes

and on its nose. It was a relatively large dinosaur, with a body length of about 7 to 9 meters and a

weight of about 6 tons. Triceratops was a horned dinosaur, but with the emergence of new

paleontological research, there are suggestions that the horns may have had a function in ritual

combat between individuals rather than in defense against predators. This species was probably

herbivorous and may have fed on lower vegetation such as ferns and low plants.
